How does Stoprover generate routes?
You type a natural language request — like “drive from Columbus to Cleveland, stop at something interesting to eat and a dog park.” Stoprover’s AI parses what you want, searches real places along your route corridor, validates they are open, and builds a navigable route around them. The whole process takes a few seconds.
How accurate are the suggested stops?
Stoprover checks real-time hours for every suggested stop before including it in your route. We filter out places that are closed at your estimated arrival time. That said, business hours change — we recommend checking ahead for longer detours.
What’s included in the free tier?
Free users get 3 route generations per month and up to 2 interest stops per route. No credit card required. You also get full access to Route History, which automatically logs every route you generate so you can revisit past trips anytime.
What does Premium add?
Premium unlocks unlimited route generations, up to 5 stops per route, unlimited saved routes, and instant route sharing links. It’s $4.99/month or $29.99/year — cancel anytime.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime through your device’s subscription management. On iOS go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. On Android go to Google Play → Subscriptions. You’ll keep Premium access until the end of the current billing period.
Can I use Stoprover without creating an account?
Yes. You can generate and navigate routes without signing up. Your usage and route history are stored locally using an anonymous device ID. Create an account when you want to sync your saved routes and history across multiple devices.
How do I create an account?
Tap the account icon in the top-right corner of the home screen. Enter your email address and tap “Send Magic Link.” You’ll receive an email from Stoprover — tap the link inside to verify and log in instantly. No password required.
What is a magic link?
A magic link is a secure, single-use login link sent to your email address. It expires after 15 minutes. This means you never need to remember a password — just tap the link in your inbox and you’re in.
Does logging in link my existing routes to my account?
Yes. When you log in on a device, any routes you’ve already saved on that device are automatically linked to your account. You’ll then see them from any other device you sign into.
How do I delete my account and data?
Email privacy@stoprover.com with your account email and we’ll permanently delete your account, saved routes, and route history within 30 days.
What is Route History?
Route History automatically logs every route you generate — you don’t have to save anything manually. Tap the clock icon in the top-right corner of the home screen to see your past trips. Free users get device-local history; logged-in users get history synced across all their devices.
How many routes does history store?
History keeps your last 50 routes per device, or your last 100 routes when you are logged in to an account.
Can I replay a past route?
Yes. Each history card has a Replay button that re-runs the original query. Stoprover regenerates the route fresh, so you may get updated stops if anything has changed since your first run.
Can I delete individual history entries?
Yes. Tap Delete on any history card and confirm. You can also wipe your entire history at once with the “Clear All” button at the top of the history page.
How do I share a route?
After generating a route, tap the Share button on the results screen (Premium) or the share icon on any saved route card. This opens your device’s share sheet or copies a link to your clipboard. Anyone with the link can view the full route — no account required.
Is route sharing a Premium feature?
Creating a shareable link from a freshly generated route requires Premium. However, anyone can view a shared route link — no account or subscription needed.
What does someone see when they open a shared route?
They see a full route preview with a map, all stops with category icons and addresses, estimated duration and distance, and a “Try Stoprover Free” call to action. They can also tap “Open in Google Maps” to navigate to any individual stop.
Do shared links expire?
Shared route links do not expire. They remain accessible as long as the route exists in our system.
What push notifications does Stoprover send?
Stoprover sends occasional re-engagement nudges — for example, a “Plan your next trip” reminder if you haven’t used the app in a while. We don’t send marketing spam. Notifications are infrequent and always relevant to your trip planning.
How do I enable push notifications?
After generating your first route, a prompt appears at the bottom of the screen. Tap “Turn on” and then Allow in the browser permission dialog. You can also turn this on or off anytime in your browser or device notification settings.
How do I turn off push notifications?
In Chrome on desktop: Settings → Privacy and security → Site settings → Notifications → find stoprover.com and set to Block. On Android Chrome: Settings → Site settings → Notifications. On iOS (installed PWA): Settings → Stoprover → Notifications → Off.
Does Stoprover track my location in the background?
No. Stoprover only accesses your location while the app is open and in use. We do not collect background location data. You can revoke location permission in your device settings at any time — the app will still work, but you’ll need to type your starting location manually.
