Install FAQ

Is this the same as the App Store version?

For now, yes — Stoprover isn't in the App Store or Google Play yet. Adding it to your home screen gives you the closest experience to a native app, and it's what we recommend today. When the native apps launch, we'll let you know.

Does it work offline?

Basic navigation works after the first load, and your saved routes stay available. Building new routes and searching for stops requires a connection.

How much storage does it use?

Under 5 MB — a fraction of a typical app. No downloads or updates required.

Can I uninstall it?

Yes. On iPhone, long-press the icon and tap Remove AppDelete Bookmark. On Android, long-press the icon and drag to Uninstall.

Why doesn't it work in Chrome on iPhone?

Apple only lets Safari add web apps to the iPhone home screen. If you use Chrome, open the link in Safari first, then follow the steps above.

Will I get notifications?

On Android and desktop, yes — Stoprover supports web push notifications. On iPhone (iOS 16.4+), notifications work after you add Stoprover to your home screen and open it from there.
